Voting is now open for Citizens online or via mail. In-person voting will open in some locations on September 17.

The deadline to register to vote online has passed. If you have not previously registered for online voting, please visit your nearest in-person polling location by 8:00pm MST to cast your ballot. Citizens planning to vote by mail should send back their completed ballots as soon as possible
As the final day to receive mail-in ballots (September 19) approaches, Citizens wishing to vote by mail should:
- - Check the service standards at your local Canada Post to make sure your ballot will arrive in time to be counted. All ballots must be received by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer by 8pm on Tuesday September 19
  - If you are concerned your ballot may not arrive in time you can:

Voter Information

Who Can Vote

Any Citizen of the MNA who is 16 years of age or older can vote. You do not need to pre-register to vote.

When to Vote

Voting is taking place September 13^th–19^th. Online voting can be done at any time during the voting period. Citizens can also go to any in-person voting venue to cast their ballot. If you intend to vote by mail, you do not need to wait until September 13^th-19^th to return your ballot. Please mail your ballot back as soon as possible.

Acceptable Identification

If you are voting in person, please bring either a Métis ID or any other government issued ID (federal, provincial/territorial, or local) with a photo, name, and current address. If you do not have this when you go to the polls, you will be provided a mail-in ballot to complete. The mail-in ballot will include an identification section with an attestation to state that you are a citizen of the MNA.
